David, a retired sea captain (unlimited master) with 52 years of ocean-going experience. His first job as a captain was running a supply ship for Global Marine in Houston Texas.
For many years he has been involved in researching why whales beach, and created a large website deafwhale.com about that topic
He also wrote about the Mary Celeste, as he had a theory that the crew experienced a sea quake and this was the reason they abandoned ship.
Sadly, his website has ceased operation, I hope to restore his page about his, very well researched theory, here in the near future.
